Weather

Weather is a confusing thing, it seems like out of no where great weather can change to sloppy rain that makes everything uncomfortable. I feel like weather is directly connected to peoples moods. On a sunny beautiful morning everyone seems awake and alert and it just automatically  puts people in a good mood. When rain suddenly turns to snow, you immediately tell who the skiers and boarders are because they get a smile on their face and generally are nicer people. The weather here is so unpredictable though and almost all the time it is rain so I guess we just have to get used to cloudy skies and wet shoes.

What I learned

It is a sad day when you hear that a teacher passes away, and it affects everyone differently. I had never taken a class with mrs. McKenna or even met her before this year but it still didn't seem real when I heard what had happened. The school felt like a completely different place on Monday and everyone was faced with a new challenge, to move past the death of a greatly respected teacher. Time goes on though and eventually the school started to return to normal. I guess what I have learned is to go with the flow, and even if something seems to hard to move past, it is better to look for the good things that you can do and help people that were more affected than you.

Now What?

The end of the semester is sooner than I
would like. Except for scrounging to get
some last minute grades in and studying
for finals to not fail any classes.
Mr. Good is leaving and getting replaced
by Mr. D, who seems like a cool guy.
Everyone is still waiting for next week
when he will take over and start as our
teacher. Will he follow in the grading
systems of Mr. Good? Will there be Dwire points?
It will all be known next week, and hopefully we will have a good new teacher.

Pow jumps

Building a good jump can be one of the best parts of any snowsports, but you have to be willing to take the time to perfect it. I would say the perfect jump is one  that is big enough to give you second thoughts when you are looking down at it. If your heart isn't beating fast after you land thats a sure sign that your jump is too small. When you can get thrown through the air, then come around and ride it off like it was nothing its one of the best feelings.

A Brief Discourse on Related Dynamics

This is the process,
The excess, on into
The bad-ass abyss,
Where the things you though
You killed all got wings
And stings, like wasps,
And you remember
That childhood day
When you got stupid
And took a figtree stick
To that gray paper nest
Under the cobwebbed eave
Then screamed like a girl
For a block and a half
Because they ain't bees
And they don't die
And they don't give a fuck
About you being stupid.

Remember

When I was younger I could remember anything, whether it happened or not.
Mark Twain

like this quote because I can somewhat relate to it from when I was little, I also like the subtle use of humor to get the point across, and that its very strait forward and not too long or confusing.
